![]() Sayonara Wild Hearts: Very pretty neon style.I’m easily amused by bad physics games, they remind me of Waterful Ring Toss from my childhood. What The Golf: Sort of a ripoff of Desert Golfing with a mini-golf course and QWOP or RSSS style physics antics. Also, it makes my iPhone 8+ extremely hot along the top-right corner GPU-heavy with no way to turn that off? Mediocre. I like the slow logic puzzles, but I’ve played the better version of this game hundreds of hours on the DS (yes, I hear you, two lonely Dreamcast users out there), don’t really need a new one. ![]() ![]() Chu-Chu Universe: Yes, this is another Chu-Chu Rocket, in 3D with shitty controls.Various Daylife: Previously described, an RPG life simulator.Author mdhughes Posted on Categories Apple, Elder Scrolls, videogames, Warcraft Tags Apple, Elder Scrolls, videogames, Warcraft What I’m Playing: Mostly iOS Edition While I’m often annoyed by/actively loathe Activision/Blizzard the company (as noted late last year), at least they support their customers and aren’t too cheap to pay for a Mac developer or two. World of Warcraft Day One Apple Silicon Mac Support. Not everyone is so short-sighted and incompetent: So, after 6 years, well over $1000+ customer, I’ll be in ESO only as a freebie until the next set of ARM Macs are out (I need slightly more than the M1 provides). Which is why I quit buying crowns, just ESO+ subscription. They made a new character select background, which crashed the Mac if you dawdled there for 1-2 minutes, and didn’t fix that for months. When you log in after a new patch, 50/50 odds you’ll spin uncontrollably until you open Mac Security preferences and toggle control off and back on.Or as posted, they could just carry on as they have been: They haven’t had any Mac developers in years, certainly never test on Mac, and never fix Mac bugs except by accident. You’d think that with unlimited Microsoft money, ZOS could hire one Mac developer and buy a couple Macs mini M1 to build & test on. Matt Firor of ZOS tells Apple Silicon Mac users to fuck off.I opened EXAPUNKS, and still on the loading screen, I saved all my backed-up save files to the save location, and ALT-F4'd out of the game before even entering the game itself at all.Īnd somehow someway that managed to trigger the upload, as now when I load the game normally, it has all my progress still intact! I better keep taking those backups after every session, wouldn't want something like this to happen again. So yeah, saves are scuffed for me with Xbox Game Pass for PC.ĮDIT3: Managed to somehow trigger the cloud upload sync. It's reset to the same position it resetted before. ![]() At least now I have the save files backed up!ĮDIT2: Took a backup, and restarted the game (closed the game before taking the backup, tho), and yeah sure enough. I don't know if that bunch of numbers near the end of it is somehow profile and/or computer dependent, so bear that in mind that that might change. The game local state save folder was located at I mean I'm pretty sure I'm gonna put the whole game on an indefinite hold if I lose progress now.ĮDIT: Might've found 'em! As always, things get convoluted with Microsoft Store apps and Xbox Game Pass for PC games. And now I'm afraid to close the game, what if it loses the saves again? So, where are the saves located? I tried looking at %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\EXAPUNKS\ but that folder only had log.dat and config.cfg.Īny ideas how to make a backup of the cloud saves on Xbox Game Pass for PC version of EXAPUNKS? I soooo don't wanna do all of this again, I already had to steamroll and do many levels all over again once. I bet it has something to do with cloud syncing and starting the game before the cloud saves had synced or something like that idk.Īnyhow, I now've played the rest of the day. Well, I don't know what happened, but all my progress was lost during that quick restart. Then, I came back, played another few hours and noticed my sound wasn't working (it was my fault, I had muted the game in system volume mixer and forgotten about it), but I tried to fix it by restarting the game first. ![]() So, the problem: I been playing for almost 10 hours now just today (some hours yesterday too), and took a little break after a few hours of play. So yeah, noticed EXAPUNKS just dropped on Xbox Game Pass for PC, so obviously I started playing it, and thus far it's the best of the bunch imo - great story intertwined with mindbending logic programming puzzles. print the zines but don't have a printer anymore) Been in love with Zachtronics games since TIS-100 (where I went and printed the manual IRL, would've done it with EXAPUNKS too, ie. ![]()
